Kerala’s Weekly Festival ?
Of course its “Hartal”
In Kerala, Onam and Christmas come only once in a year as far as I know, but I am sure
Mr. Hartal visits us more than 3 times in a Month.
Its celebration time for us again, Mr. Hartal is visiting us again, the mood of celebration starts from today afternoon, my office is getting charged for the celebration, works are getting over faster than ever.
My phones are ringing non stop, every one asks only few questions,
Entha paripaadi (what’s the plan),
Sadhanam undo (do you have a bottle),
Why can’t we try military (instead of standing in long queues for a bottle of liquor, getting a bottle from any naval officer from his quota by giving few pennies extra)
Appol ravile kananm (So let’s see in the Morning)
Unfazed by the global economic crisis, Drinkers in the state have consumed an estimated Rs.4,600 crore worth of liquor this year - a record - to clock the highest ever annual sales in Kerala's history.

Then starts the Hartal Bash from 10am till evening with few bottles and chicken, with out that Onam, Christmas or Hartal nothing will be completed in Kerala.

In some parts of the state the liquor and Chicken sales boost up during the day before Hartal than the combined sale for Onam and Christmas.
When the citizens of our States celebrate Hartal, why will not the politician
s announce Hartal every week, even you can announce a hartal, our citizens will promote and the hartal will be a grand success, for which you need to do only few things.

A) Hire a PR guy and give him Rs 5000/- he will publish the press note in all the leading
news papers.
B) Try to put notices or posters in Busses, not necessarily all busses just a few will do.
