What I See In Gulf

After effects of Migration :

Does this picture make your imagination go wild?

I would rather say, the Owner is still residing in the Gulf, after pushing off in a hurry, parking his bike near a sapling in his front yard, in 1980. If the owner had gifted the bike, it would have been useful for some one or at least he could have sold it and gone. But why should he bother, he has gone to The Gulf where the Money rains . Once you are in the Gulf ,then every thing is under your feet,.... why bother about a silly yamaha…..

The Middle East still continues to be the most preferred destination for Keralites ,who seek job to settle abroad. It seems that there are more malayalees in the Gulf than in kerala. Time is not so far, when Keralites may ask for a separate state in Gulf or might go up to asking for The Country itself. If he can land in the Moon before Neil Armstong, why can,t he dream about his own country in The Gulf.

Don’t ask what work we do there, we adorn all the positions right from the ambassador to Illegal Arrack Making. Our wish is to make Gulf a mini Kerala where we can run our own KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) buses.

The southern state of Kerala is very 'Gulf sensitive' as its economy is heavily dependent on the money sent in by the Non-Resident -Keralites from the Gulf countries. (Who, once used to be a Communist - against capitalism!!)

This is a view of Dubai Fish Market. The signboards above are in malayalam!! What an achievement! But we couldn't succeed in hoisting the red yet, which we are trying our level best to install. The days are not far...either we would be chucked out...or we would get our own land..I would definitely try to be there with Comrade Karat and Comrade Pinarai for the flag hoisting.

The report, also points out that large number of migrants have returned from the Middle East ,after new labour laws were introduced there. Data showed that the number of Gulf returnees have marginally increased -- from 739,245 in 1999 to 893,942 in 2004 .we can except more in the coming months, as the recession is hitting Middle East badly…….

The real estate is sluggish in the state, the funds are not pouring in as earlier, more over the shoot up of rents in the gulf region reduce the inflow of money to the state, The sluggishness has also affected the demand for apartments, villas and flats. “Home loan rates have gone up and building material costs have shot up too, putting a brake on the buys”.
That’s not all, now our fellow brothers have started loosing jobs due to global recession. For sure, Big Brother is on his way back home to God's own country, after disposing his Hummer car....back to his old life....back to ..pull out his old precious Yamaha.. stuck in a tree!!!

I know that I have not pictured our fellow NRKs in a positive stroke, but what I have to enforce is that "we built The Gulf", each and every speck of sand will say that...( I'm proud to be a mallu).Time is changing...The creators have no say in their masterpieces anymore. We worked like donkeys for donkeys years to make gulf a land of gold mine. But now it has become a cake walk for the Citizens of Developed countries to chuck us out and enjoy the fruit of our labour.

Due acknowledgement to all my Indian - Pakisthani- Bengladeshi - Srilankan - .....brothers .who joined hands together to built this great Empire.
