Sniffing....Kochi
It’s a common view in our country a he goat or a he sheep sniffing the she goat or she sheep, this may be not common in the cities but once you get into a village it’s a commonly seen.
Same in the case of Bull and a Cow, during my younger days I used to think that there is a fight going to happen between the cow and the bull but later I understood that it’s more than a fight.
Dogs are common in the streets of metro city’s, and we would have noticed male dog sniffing female dog.
But in cochin there is a unusual view of Busses sniffing, I don’t know what’s the chemistry behind this….
The common view for Kochiets is that, the buses will run only one behind one sniffing, and you can see at least 5 buses together, and they never allow other vehicles to enter in between the line, just like a dog driving away another dog when he is getting engaged with a female dog.
But this sniffing is not a chemistry it’s a real fight between the buses, they don’t want to take the passengers in but they want to reach their destination first, they never allow the passengers to get down or get in properly into the buses , they just take off, due to this even a passenger lost her life yesterday, the bus’s back tyre ran over her head and the poor girl didn’t reach her office but reached heaven fast.

All this sniffing happens in front of the police, police will charge a motor cyclist who may in his 40km speed to reach his office or work place, but they never look at the buses which run minimum of 70Km speed where they are allowed to run in 35Km speed in the city limit.When the bus hit a car or motor cycle, they will never mind to take the victim to hospital instead they will direct us to go for legal case against them, they very well know that their boss who may be a police officer himself will solve the problem.
